Trade-in values for newer models such as the iPhone 13 series have increased, while the older iPhone models are showing a decrease in their values
Apple has recently updated the prices on its Exchange scheme for older products to US market, which allows customers to receive a discount on a new Apple product in exchange for an older device. The company has been offering this trade-in option for almost ten years now and has included all its products such as iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad and Mac, except Android smartphones. Apple also offers to recycle cables, cases and screens for free.
The latest update has increased the trade-in values of newer models, such as the iPhone 13 Pro series, while the older iPhone models have decreased in value. The company regularly updates trade-in unit values based on product and region. The exchange option is available both online and in store.
The iPhone 13 Pro Max model is now valued at up to $630 compared to $600 before, while the Pro model in the lineup will run you up to $530, another $30 increase in trade-in value. The iPhone 12 Pro Max and 12 Pro have an additional value of $20, while the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 13 mini are now $30 and $20 less, respectively. The iPhone 7 is the oldest model that can be used for a trade-in, and its value has dropped by $40.
Apple has also updated its trade-in values for its iPads and Apple Watches. The M1 iPad Pro models are now worth up to $470, which is a $25 increase from the previous trade-in value. Similarly, the baseline iPad and iPad mini now have a trade-in value that is $10 more than before. The Apple Watch Series 4 through 6 have also seen their trade-in values increase by $5, with the Series 7 maintaining its maximum value of $165.
In addition, Apple accepts trade-ins for eligible Samsung and Google Android smartphones, with the highest value offered for the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra at up to $305.

Customers interested in these trade-in options can apply online or at an Apple Store. Apple also offers to recycle devices for free if they don’t qualify for credit.
