The Gombe State Police Command in North Eastern Nigeria has again recorded success in the fight against crime and in ensuring sustainable peace in the state.
Addressing newsmen in Gombe, the police officer of the command, Mr. Mahid Mu’azu Abubakar that the rescue of kidnapped victims took place at Labe Village in Nafada, Nafada Local Government Area of the state.
He said local hunters have been working with police officers to fight crime and rescue victims.
Abubakar said exhibits from the criminals were found, “The victims were taken to the hospital for a medical check-up.”
He said the investigation is ongoing and the case will soon be charged to court.
According to the PPRO, the Gombe State Police Command, under the supervision of the Commissioner of Police, CP Oqua Etim, will continue to anchor strategies that will involve engaging community leaders, youth groups and other stakeholders for inclusive community security, based on crime prevention and community security.
He reiterated the commitment of the command to maintain law and order in the state, saying the command will work tirelessly to ensure the safety of all citizens.
The command urges the public to support the police by providing them with timely information and reporting suspicious activities in their communities through the helpline.
