HERCHIMER — Kasper A. Cuda, Herkimer, has been named grant administrator at Herkimer College, according to an announcement Thursday from college officials.
Cuda will oversee the college’s participation in the Health CARES Consortium, an initiative funded through the federal Department of Labor’s Strengthening Community Colleges grant program. The Health CARES Consortium is led by Onondaga Community College and includes 11 SUNY community colleges, including Herkimer College.
CARES stands for “Career, Acceleration, Retention + Employment Support,” the release said, adding that the goal of the project is to increase the health and social care workforce in New York State. Cuda was most recently a science teacher at Herkimer and a biology teaching assistant at Clarkson University. She was previously employed by the Utica Chamber of Commerce, where she gained experience in event planning, PR, marketing and social media.
Cuda holds a master’s degree in health administration from Utica University, and two bachelor’s degrees from Clarkson University, one in biomolecular science with a minor in biology and the other in chemistry.
